About Regpro Software
Regpro Software roots started in late 2006, on a cold and rainy March evening. Callum Kerr, then aged 15, presented the idea to a client for a register to manage the attendance of people at youth clubs. This product was a simple spreadsheet that did what was required, with a poor user interface and painfully slow. But it did what it need to do, although not as well as it could, but better than pen and paper.
Over the next 9 months, Callum re-designed the spreadsheet to incorporate a better UI, more features and friendlier procedures. This new and improved version caught the eye of a West Lothian Council Manager, and he decided that he would like to roll it out to other youth clubs.
During 2007-8, Callum further improved the product to run as its own application. The program was completed in mid 2008 and was the first program branded as being created by Regpro Software. This program was called Register Program 2.0, and was ten times better than the first program with a fantastic user interface and powerful management tools.
But that was not enough, He then took the lessons learned in Version 2.0, and re-designed the full program from the ground up. This product is called Register Program 3.0, and it's the most powerful program created by Regpro. It took just over 14 months, and 3 full re-designs during development. He made sure that the product was as close to perfect as humanly possible, and it was released in October 2009.
In early 2010, Regpro started to design websites, and since then has become the primary avenue for business. Callum intends to continue supporting previous programs well into the foreseeable future.
Callum received an Enterprise in Education Award, West Lothian Council Stellar Award and Young Quality Scot Award for his work between 2006-2008.
